DEPRESSION hurts | GOD HEALS | YOU are needed

Tell someone, PLEASE!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

After my encounter with God when I walked away from Him, I was full of joy every day. I was determined that nothing could get me down from then on. But something did. A few somethings. But He knew those things were coming which I believe was the reason I needed the encounter. At one point I felt as if I was drowning, and I couldn't understand what was going on. Then I met a Christian therapist through some friends. We didn’t meet to connect on a professional level, but a few weeks after meeting her, as I was still going through a trial, I went to her website and booked a session which turned into one of the best decisions I have ever made. One session turned into weeks of a deep dive into some unresolved hurts, fears, and pain I didn’t realize existed.

I learned that it’s ok to admit you’re not ok. His Word tells us to come to Him as we are. But He doesn’t say that, so we get there and stay that way. He says it so we go to Him for love and healing. We don’t have to impress Him. He already knows our pain, but He needs our permission to step in because He doesn’t barge in. He stands at the door and knock. I also know that intercessory prayer grants Him permission. We gotta keep praying! We have to cry out for everyone suffering, whether we know them or not. No names needed. He knows their names.

I’m praying for the families of those lost to suicide. I’m praying for anyone suffering from depression and believing the world would be a better place without them. I’ve been there. I know those thoughts. Those feelings. They are real. But they aren’t true. You are here for a reason. God doesn’t make mistakes.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away.

John 6:37

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.”

Revelation 22:17

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people.

1 Timothy 2:1

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Revelation 3:20

The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
